27 December 2007 Trash Pick Up Schedule for Next Week NEW YEAR'S WEEK (December 31 - January 4) No Yard Waste, Brush, or Bulk Service available this week Customers normally serviced on Monday will still be serviced on Monday, 12/31. Customers normally serviced on Tuesday or Wednesday will be serviced on Wednesday, 1/2. Customers normally serviced on Thursday or Friday will be serviced on their regular day.   Recycle Your Christmas Trees Solid waste crews will begin picking up Christmas trees January 7 on regularly scheduled trash collection day, and trees may also be dropped off at two designated spots, one at Jim Warren Park and one at Fieldstone Park. Drop-off points at these parks will be clearly marked with orange barricades. The trees must be free of all ornaments, tinsel, lights and other materials. They will be ground up to make wood chips for mulch. Trees may not be left in or near any dumpster at any city park. Anyone caught disposing of trash, including Christmas trees, in a park dumpster can be issued a citation.   Downs Boulevard Road Construction Interstate Concrete will be performing road repair on Downs Boulevard near the intersection of Highway 96 West next Monday, December 31. There will be temporary lane closures from approx. 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. while work is being performed. Barrels will be placed over repaired sections of roadway and will be left in place through New Year's day.    Have a safe and Happy New Year!
