"6 Degrees of Separation Dinner"
held on September 20, 2005 at Walter Payton's Roundhouse in Aurora
I'm always humbled when someone actually wants to introduce me to another person
for financial planning. It's one thing to work with an advisor on your finances;
it's another to feel confident enough in that person to tell someone else--your
friend, your parents, your co-worker, etc.
A few years ago, we made the decision to build Streamline on a slow and steady,
word-of-mouth marketing strategy instead of seminars, direct mail, etc. It was
the best decision we could have made. Who would have thought that we would be
able to work with anyone in the world!
Sociologists tell us that we (you and I) are SIX DEGREES from anyone in the world.
Start with you, and pick a random person in China. You know someone (2), who
knows someone (3), who knows someone (4), who knows someone else (5), who knows
that person in China (6)! Most of the time, fewer connections are needed. When
our first chain of made it to the sixth degree, we knew it was time to celebrate.
You might be reading this right now and thinking, "Where's MY free dinner, Toby?"
To find out where you stand in the quest for another 6 Degrees Dinner, email me and I'll let you know how close you are to this very prestigious honor!
Thank you for your trust.
