I recently found out that Oprah Winfrey had profiled
“The Secret” on her television show. I was glad to hear that she introduced this to all of her viewers as it is such
an important message that can change the world.
The concept is about the energy you put out into the world,
whether it is good or bad. What you put out is exactly what you will get back; just like the old adage…”you reap
what you sow”. In other words, you create the circumstances of your life through your thought processes. This is called the
law of attraction. I would encourage anyone who wants positive change in his or her life to take a look at this.
Our corporate office has taken on this philosophy with a more
fine tuned effort after watching “The Secret”. We “believe” we are creating a successful business,
while at the same time making a difference in people’s lives and giving back to the community. We have done that by
partnering with the Susan G. Komen for the Cure organization, by participating in several Habitat for Humanity builds and by volunteering with the
Girl Scouts of America. Our Tomboy Tools consultants contribute, just as we do, by holding in-home tool parties, teaching women how to do projects
and selling our products. This philosophy runs deeply throughout our organization.
A good friend introduced me to “The Secret” last
year. I have always believed in the power of positive thinking and trying to make the best of any situation, but the law of
attraction goes well beyond that. What have you got to lose? Give it a try! It could be that “extra
something” you need to fulfill your goals.
