Dear ,
What a great God we are living for and it's great to be in this life with you . There is nothing more important that living in
community together. As we serve here, we invite you to dive into being part of the community here with us.
Luiza just turned 1 year old and Andrew turned 33 years old last week, and on April 14th celebrated 5
years of marriage. Since we got here in Ghana we have realized the importance of celebrating events. It's great to be alive and
living the life that God has given us. We are part of a huge vision and it's a lot bigger than we are. It's exciting really and I'm glad
that you are part of it.
Juliana has been working at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (the 2nd largest hospital in the country) in the pediatric emergency unit these last two
weeks as part of a six
week requirement before her interviews and examination to gain her Ghana medical license. It's truly been a learning experience in the Ghanaian
ways of practicing medicine. Pray for her as she continues her work there.
Yesterday I (Andrew) was able to assist a missionary colleague get ready for a team coming to work at the Ankaase Methodist Faith Healing Hospital
and a literacy project.
It's an exciting time as many of our missionaries here are hosting teams in the coming months and we get to see the dynamic of short term mission
teams. Next
summer we hope to host a few teams ourselves with the projects that we will be working on.
Just a few minutes ago, before coming to the internet communications center to write this note to you, I picked up a box of goodies from one of our
friends in Sylacauga (our home town in Alabama) - it's great to get this box and be reminded that we are loved back home.
Sometimes life here seems so distant since we don't have TV or internet at home, so the emails and cards we've been getting are so special to
us. We are working on getting internet at home. We are SO happy though that after a week without running water at home... yesterday we
were able to
fill our reserve tank and take showers!
Please, don't hesitate to write us - it may take a few days to respond, but we would like to hear from you.
If you currently do not receive our quarterly newsletter in the mail, email us the best address for you and we will send it. Do you have a
friend or church member that you think should get our newsletter? Help us expand the reach of what God is doing through the community of believers
working together through our family.
God's, and your missionaries,
Andrew and Juliana

Then Jesus made a
circuit of all the towns and villages. He taught in their meeting
places, reported kingdom news, and healed their diseased bodies, healed
their bruised and hurt lives. When he looked out over the crowds, his heart broke. So confused and aimless they were, like sheep with no shepherd.
"What a huge harvest!" he said to his disciples. "How few workers! On your knees and pray for harvest hands!" Matthew 9:35-38 (The Message)
