March Spotlight: Patrick S.
O'Hara, VP Business Leader, Endowment & Foundation
Market - Diversified Investment Advisors
Mr. O'Hara is responsible for all aspects of Diversified
Investment Advisors' growth in the Endowment & Foundation market. With a background of over 20 years experience in the
investment industry, he has worked directly with foundations and endowments for
the past six years.
Prior to joining
Diversified, he was Director, Marketing & Sales at Commonfund. He was responsible
for regional new business development and client relationship responsibilities
while working with not-for-profit institutions in the Northeast. Prior to
Commonfund, he established and was a Principal of Lighthouse Financial Group, a
boutique investment firm providing investment services to institutions and high
net worth clients. He spent eight years
with GE Financial Assurance in a variety of roles including Director, Business
Development, Regional Sales Manager and Northeast Wholesaler. He began his career with Dreyfus Corporation.
Mr. O'Hara holds a B.A. in Psychology from Hobart College. He holds FINRA
(formerly NASD) series 7, 24,
65 & 63 licenses. He is a graduate
of the Endowment Institute, a comprehensive program on endowment management
practices offered in conjunction with the Harvard Business
School. In addition to the JAHV Board of Directors, he is a member of the Greenwich Roundtable, a
not-for-profit educational forum on alternative investments.
