Spring into Action!

As the weather gets warmer and the days get longer, a sense of change is in the air. What better way to promote change than volunteering in a classroom and making a difference in a child's life!

With only a few months to go in the school year, there is still time to become a classroom mentor or support JA programs. It is a great way to give a student the gift of learning and mentoring - having an impact on their lives and their futures!

Education

March Spotlight

Dows Lane Elementary School in Irvington is gearing up for starting their classes with parent volunteers, filling the 2nd and 3rd grade classes with JA programs, coordinated by school principal Joe Rodriguez.

JA Success Skills classes at St. Christopher's Clark Academy are up and running thanks to willing volunteers from the school's campus. Six classes for 10th grade students are being taught at the Dobbs Ferry based campus, with more to be started soon at the Yonkers/Greenburgh campus.

Board member Jim White and his team at USAlliance Federal Credit Union stepped up recently to help complete all requested classes at School 30 in Yonkers at a JA in a Day.
