Tax Strategies for Charitable Giving


Jamie Golombek’s talk will provide an overview of the tax benefits of charitable giving, including the gifting of RRSPs and life insurance, with a particular emphasis focusing on the new rules for gifts of appreciated securities to registered charities.

Liz Palmieri’s presentation will focus on why it is important to raise the subject of charitable giving with clients and how to start the conversation.

The breakfast is targeted to professional advisors including: accountants, lawyers, trust officers, financial planners, investment advisors, insurance advisors, wealth management consultants and planned giving officers.

Attendees are eligible for 1.0 continuing education credit available from ADVOCIS.
