By my reckoning, there remain only 22 class days until the end of the
term. We have so much to accomplish in a very short amount of time!
As I wrote to you yesterday, in an effort not to clog up your e-mail
in-boxes, the Undergraduate Economics Program will now send out a monthly newsletter with upcoming co-curricular innovations, upcoming events, and academic
deadlines. These newsletters will be archived (http://tinyurl.com/yz45n6b)
and you can also find events and deadlines on our Program's calendar (http://tinyurl.com/yklefch).
It appears that the drop-in advising office
hours are a success. In yesterday's Junior Class Meeting, we were asked to extend these hours to include Fridays. Below, you will
find our expanded hours:
The Undergraduate Economics Program will host a series of informal
faculty-student luncheons for juniors and seniors. As you are well aware, one of the hallmarks of a Carnegie Mellon
education is student access to faculty and research. The purpose of theses luncheons is to provide students and faculty with the opportunity to
discuss their intellectual interests in a relaxed environment (i.e., a more intimate non-classroom, non-graded setting). These lunches are our
treat to you; you will not need to pay for them. If you haven't already done so, please fill out a brief zoomerang survey (see link
below) so that I can best match your interests with those of the faculty. Thanks.
