GREETINGS

At the Washington Activity Coordinators Association conference a friend was kind enough to go out of her way to pay me a compliment regarding these little "greetings" I write for each In the Loop. She said the story about watching my son Brad find the inner courage to do his best at a cross country meet was inspiring enough to her to tape the story near her desk. I too have clippings, sayings and photos cluttered around my desk that are significant to me so the compliment made my day. I've been clipped! Not only that, it gave me a good opening to have a nice conversation with my son. "Hey Brad, you know that story I wrote about your district cross country race when you were sick..." Since the conference, I've been looking for opportunities to go out of my way to compliment people. I want to make their day so perhaps they too can go home with a positive lift and say, "Hey, you know what someone said to me today..."
