Dear ,
Welcome to the December issue of RGM's newsletter.
We'd like to start this month with a little background information about RGM. We are also very excited to provide you with information
about our newest timepiece. Enjoy!
RGM produces timeless classics reminiscent of
the traditional mechanical watches of the past. Just as legendary watchmakers of the past personally sold their complicated
movements and expertise to fascinated watch connoisseurs, Roland Murphy, RGM's American-born founder, is marketing his exclusive collection
of custom-designed, mechanical timepieces with high-quality complications in the same fashion. Unlike many modern watch brands, the name behind
these masterpieces is alive, well, and willing to personally educate and inform consumers about his creations.

|
Cherished by passionate watch collectors, RGM watches are crafted only in an extremely
small series and made of 18k gold, platinum, or stainless steel. They feature hand-finished cases and such elements as
Engine-Turned (Guilloché) dials and blued-steel hands. In every case they are of the highest quality in their price
range. Every limited-edition watch is individually numbered and signed.
Keep an eye on RGM. We are writing a new chapter of watchmaking--not just from an
American perspective--and, without setting out to do so, are forcing the makers of fine watches worldwide to take notice.

Caliber 801
Made in U.S.A.
A new chapter in RGM history is being written. RGM is pleased to announce the introduction of our
new movement: Caliber 801. This exclusive power plant is the only high quality mechanical watch movement currently produced in a series within the
United States, and the first in nearly 40 years. The design of Caliber 801's distinctively shaped bridges, conceived and produced in Lancaster
County, PA, were inspired by great American-made movements of early decades of the 20th Century. RGM hopes to recall the glory days of
domestic watchmaking, when production centers in Massachusetts, Illinois and, of course, Pennsylvania, set the standard for quality timekeeping in
North America and abroad. All examples of Caliber 801 are hand-assembled and regulated in our workshop, which is only a short drive northwest of the
site of production of the last movements made by a major American watch company. We are proud to resume, after such a long hiatus, this great local
and national tradition. |
|
The 19-jewel movement measures just under 37 mm, a size that lends itself to
accuracy, thanks to its large balance, and is well suited for installation in vintage-style pocket watches or the full- and over-size wristwatches
that are fashionable today. A high-grade mono-metallic screw-balance and straight click spring mounted unobtrusively beside the barrel bridge give
the movement somewhat of an antique character. Modern components ensure that Caliber 801 will be accurate, reliable and easily serviced for decades
to come. The standard finish features either gilt or rhodium bridges with anglage, Lancaster Waves and blued screws. Additional finishes, including
in-house manually-cut guilloché, hand engraving or skeletonization, are available upon special order. Intended for use in forthcoming series of
limited edition watches among our product line, Caliber 801 will also be made available for custom-watch projects. The customer wishing to possess a
unique RGM timepiece will be able to select from a variety of case styles and work with RGM to design a dial perfectly suited to the
watch. |

Initial delivery of the first special edition Caliber 801 watches –
featuring a unique combination of guilloché and a new subtle indication of the special movement within – is expected in just a few weeks.
More information on this new movement and the plans for its inclusion within the RGM line will be revealed at http://www.rgmwatches.com/ and in a series of first-look articles to be published by iW Magazine (USA) early in 2008. |
