February Spotlight: Marie Gallagher, Vice President &
Assistant Controller at PepsiCo, Inc.
Marie is responsible for
PepsiCo's financial reporting and SOX processes. She prepares information for PepsiCo's Audit
Committee of the Board. Her role at PepsiCo
incorporates assisting division controllers and their organizations and other
corporate departments with accounting and business issues. She is also the Executive Sponsor for
PepsiCo's Corporate SAP implementation, and a co-chair of the Corporate
Inclusion Council.
A Connecticut resident, Marie came to Junior
Achievement with a wide range of professional experience, including being a JA
Alumna! Marie participated in the JA Company Program while in high school in Queens, NY.
She went on to attend regional and national JA conferences. Marie attributes her
JA experience to encourage her thinking about business as a career option.
Her background also includes
prominent positions at Altria Corporate Services, Inc., and
PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP.
Marie is a Certified Public
Accountant and has a B.B.A. in Accounting from Pace University. She is a member of the American Institute of
Certified Public Accountants, the American Woman's Society of Certified Public
Accountants, Financial Executives International and the New York State Society
of Certified Public Accountants.
