A note from Paul . . .
Phew! We have just survived a grueling few weeks at work. With Chris, Kerris and Layla
having been in America, and Jake and Rex in Australia, we have been flat out in the factory with two containers to organize, as well as individual
mills to produce.
Out of the two container orders, the biggest by far was an order of twelve mills, tracks
and extras to go to the UK. The production of the mills went really sweet from the welders at the start right through to the assembly at the end. The
biggest mission though was to get all 12 mills, tracks etc, into a 20-foot container. The challenge was on for all the guys involved - blood, sweat
and tears were shed but all is well that ends well! That is Craig Hammond in the right and me in the far left corner of the photo above trying to fit
everything into the container.
The second container was slightly easier with four mills and six Skillmill's being sent
off to Canada, but both containers leaving on the same day pushed us all. A few weeks of hard 'graft' throughout the factory and office staff paid
off eventually though, and we were rewarded with a BBQ and drinks on Friday after work, all laid on by management. (Special thanks to Karen, our
acting CEO!)
Final few words I'd like to say a big farewell to Rex who has been a good mate to all
throughout the company. He is traveling to Australia to make a new life where he will be running an ASM full-time. Good luck!
Bye for now
Paul Crompton
