So I really hope you didn’t already buy an HD-DVD player. Because if you did… it’s just become a very expensive paperweight. Toshiba is no longer going to manufacture HD-DVD players—a white flag they’re waving in surrender to the Blu-Ray format supported by Sony. So the high definition DVD market will belong to Blu-Ray.
