OCTOBER 2007
Welcome to the launch
of our new e-mail newsletter. We'll be sending this to you every month or so to keep
you informed about upcoming events, restaurant news, and interesting happenings at the
Meetinghouse.
While I'm excited
to be able to share information with you by
e-mail, I haven't forgotten my roots! I'll continue to share thoughts about Meetinghouse happenings, just as before, in the "straight talk"
blog we're about to launch. Stay tuned....

Our New Seasonal Menu is Here
We love it when October rolls around - in no small part
due to the seasonal menu we're able to create each year. The local
producers and nearby farmers we rely on are filling our kitchen with a
fantastic variety of fresh produce, fish and beef.
This fall, menu highlights include our popular "Five Mushrooms
in Puff Pastry" and "Sweet Potato Gnocchi" appetizers. Our fall entrées
include our famous "Lazy Lobster" with roasted corn, caramelized fennel, bacon
and pepper confetti served over Basmati rice, and our hearty Grilled Fillet of
Beef stuffed with fresh crab meat.
We're serving dinner at the meetinghouse on Thursdays,
Fridays and Saturdays from 5:30 - 8:00 pm. Join us!
Take a Trip Around the World with Us
We've kicked off our popular weekly "Theme Dinners" at the
Meetinghouse, and are receiving great feedback from guests. If you haven't yet
had a chance to join us, you're in for a treat.
Every Thursday evening,
beginning at 5:30 pm, we're serving four courses of "world cuisine," ranging from
Thai and French to Italian and Spanish.
This Thursday's menu has a flavorful Asian theme.
Call 371-2188 for reservations. ($28
per person +
tax/gratuity.)
Shouldn't You Relax on Thanksgiving?
It's hard to believe that Thanksgiving is just a few
weeks away. Gather with family and friends in our comfortable dining room
for our special Thanksgiving Dinner, enjoy a delicious
five-course meal, and share a warm toast with one of the selections from our
expansive wine cellar. (Dinner served from noon - 6:00 pm. $40 per
person + tax/gratuity.)
Better Than Times Square!
Interested in a quiet, relaxing and delicious New Year's
celebration this year? Mark your calendar for our "No Noise New Year's
Eve Dinner" on December 31. We'll serve a nice selection of menu favorites from 5:00 - 10:00 pm, and share
more
details with you in future newsletters.

The Meetinghouse in the News
Forgive us for a little horn-tooting. We're pleased that word about the Meetinghouse continues
to spread, and that we've been earning our fair share of headlines
lately. Thanks to all of you who help us do what we do.
- The Boston Globe recently visited the Meetinghouse and penned a
profile that makes us proud.
- Chef de Cuisine Troy Mains earned a
glowing profile in a recent edition of The Times Record, and also was a featured chef
in the Portland Press Herald's ongoing "Fresh Chef" series.
Visit our
Meetinghouse site to
find links to all three of these stories.
See you at the Meetinghouse soon. Until
then, enjoy these beautiful, cool days of autumn!
