Dear ,
Is your focus on "the one" -- whether it's a job or a client or a big project you really, really want?
If so, you may be in a vulnerable position.
In business, as in life, we should have as many options as possible, lots of ideal clients to pursue,
lots of "Plan Bs" to fall back on -- lots of eggs in our
basket.
That way, no "one" client, prospect or project carries too
much weight. The more options you have, the less
important each one will be (and the less
desperate
you will be about each one).
So if you have two new business pitches this week and/or 3
networking events, you've given yourself between 2 and 5 opportunities to build your business, which will broaden your horizons and "the one" might just turn into "the
many."
This idea springs from a 22-minute
interview I did last week with Peter Clayton of Total Picture Radio. Listen (or download the mp3) here.
And I did another 20-minute interview with Kelly Andrew Brown of Small-Business-Guru.com, which you can listen
(or
download) here.
April workshops in LA
Peleg's full-day Pricing and
Marketing Workshop March in Los Angeles is sold out, but he's added two more dates: April 5 and 26. Workshop details here.
And if you can't make the workshop, you can still get all this info in the Pricing
and Marketing Secrets download. (We are extending our special offer of
$20 off until Leap Day this Friday, Feb. 29.) More details here.
