Corporate Teambuilding at the YMCA of Cool
Springs
Terry and Pinnacle Financial are avid supporters of Build, the corporate
teambuilding program offered through the YMCA of Cool Springs. Terry and the
employees at Pinnacle go through the low-ropes experience as a finale to their three-day training program designed to initiate and bond new employees
to the growing financial company.
For them, this program includes “the wall,” a 12-foot
structure all employees must get over while following a series of guidelines. These guidelines include the fact that there can’t be any outside
help from props or structures; all help must come from other employees. Accomplishing the wall initiative has become the top rated “all-time
favorite memory” for Pinnacle employees.
The Build program offers companies and organizations of all types the opportunity
to experience a customized team building program that will serve to strengthen and grow the organization in ways that are specific to their needs.
The YMCA of Cool Springs in Franklin boasts a unique facility in their Rocks and Ropes Arena. The arena provides groups the opportunity to
be hoisted over a 12-foot wall; free fall from a four-foot trust fall; and climb the 28-foot-high rock climbing wall. These notable
features are just a few among the other low ropes and team building initiatives the program offers.
Program Coordinator Katie Richards and the Build staff are highly qualified
individuals who have a passion for seeing the change that can happen to a person and a staff through a quality teambuilding experience. They have seen
individuals confront and take the first step toward overcoming lifelong trust issues through a simple trust fall. They have also witnessed
employees comprehend business and leadership principles that have been explained to them in countless staff meetings but didn’t
actually make sense until they picked up a rope and had to accomplish a task blindfolded with their fellow colleagues.
Build offers employers an opportunity to give their employees a day away from the
office that is not only fun but will produce lasting results in their company. Employees will learn business and leadership
principles in a tangible, hands-on way. This ensures that these lessons will not be fleeting but will be ones that the employee
takes with them back into the workplace for a long time to come.
The Build Program is a perfect fit for any company or organization no matter what
your needs may be. If you are interested in a Build staff member coming to your staff meeting to lead a free teambuilding initiative
or you would like more information about the program, please e-mail or call Katie Richards at the YMCA of Cool Springs at (615) 661-4200, ext. 28.
