Small Groups Enjoy Tastes of Nashville

Several participants from nine Davidson Group (DG) Small Groups gathered for lunch at Sitar Indian Restaurant, Istanbul Turkish Restaurant and Noshville New York Deli during October and December 2007.

Some participants scheduled to meet their DG partners and had a chance to catch up and also see members of their Small Group.  Many noted that it was a great time to get to know members from other Small Groups who they might not otherwise encounter. Tastes of Nashville has provided many DG members with an opportunity to talk about their Davidson Group experiences, enjoy the ambiance and foods from various ethnic cultures in our City and share what they look forward to and recommend for the DG in 2008.

More Tastes of Nashville Scheduled

Two luncheons are scheduled for six DG Small Groups in February, one at Anatolia Turkish Restaurant and another at House of Kabob.

Have You Met With Your Partner Lately?

If you have not, make a New Year's resolution to do so on a regular basis in 2008.  We encourage all partners to meet when possible at least 3 to 4 times a year.  Breakfast? Lunch? A cultural event? You pick the occasion, we'll just keep you current on great places to meet.

History of Hannukah at DG Small Group Luncheon

Shiah Baer spoke at the December 11 luncheon at Noshville New York Deli.   Shiah, who is the Associate Director for the Office of Active Citizenship and Service at Vanderbilt University, presented a brief but engaging history of Hannukah that stimulated many to request for a longer version of his presentation.  We extend our thanks to Shiah for freely sharing his culture and we hope to have him back soon!
