"Pride Foundation saves lives!"
Guest contributor Mike Pham is a Pride Foundation scholar studying in Seattle. In the last year, there have been a series of suicides by LGBTQ high school students in one school board district near Mike’s hometown in Minnesota. Most recently a 15-year-old took his own life in July after being repeatedly bullied for being gay. As Pride Foundation scholars are often working to build healthier communities, Mike reflects on this ongoing tragedy.

Progressive Education for Preschoolers
People involved with Pride Foundation are often leaders in many areas of their community. Guest contributor Derek Stanley and his partner are longtime Pride Foundation donors and volunteers. Derek recently founded Seattle’s Progressive Preschool and shares his inspiration for starting this institution.

Celebrating Latina lesbian and bisexual women
Latina Love
Pride Foundation is pleased to be supporting Mujeres Diversas' (Diverse Women) one-day conference. Intended to serve immigrant Latina lesbian and bisexual women and friends, this conference is a great example of how donor dollars support emerging and existing needs in our community.

Garden of Delights
Earlier this summer, longtime Pride Foundation supporters Bob Teichman, a member of the Northwest WA Region’s Steering Committee and his partner John Marsh hosted a lavish garden party and fundraising event at their hillside home in Tulalip, WA.

It was one of those magical Pride Foundation moments where generous, caring and engaged people were gathered to learn about our work, share thoughts about where our community has been and where we would like it to go.
