Lost Canyon Year Round
Interns
Our interns have officially completed their first full "semester" at camp and have started on their third tour
of duty! They rotate between our Food Service, Maintenance, Guest Services, and Retail Department and they all help out in Housekeeping once a
week.
They continue to be a blessing and an asset to our community, please continue to pray for Megan, SJ, Anne, Ruffin
and RJ as they continue to raise their support and invest in the local community.

Staffing Update
We have had a lot of staff changes over the past two months.
We sadly say good bye to Shane and Allison Carlson this month. Shane has accepted a job in
the Northwest managing a camp just outside Seattle. While their departure is definitely bittersweet for us, they are very excited about the new
things the Lord has in store for them.
With Shane's departure came an opening for Guest Services Coordinator. Jon Offner, who has
served in the Guest Services Dept. for three years was chosen as Shane's replacement. This then led to another opening, which has just been filled by
Katie Guthrie. She is currently on staff at Rockbridge, is saying her goodbye's and trekking cross country to start life here. We are
very excited to have her.
We have also hired an Administrative Assistant, Shea Tinder. She hails from Texas, spent a
few years in Phoenix until she and her husband moved up to God's country this past fall. Shea has served on committee in the Far West
Valley and loves the mission of Young Life. She is a great addition to our team.
And last but not least we have hired a Maintenance Tech III. Todd Chamberlain, his wife,
Alisa and their 7 mos. old little girl, Abigail are also packing up from Vermont, saying good bye's and are on their way to come serve here at Lost
Canyon. They current work at a girl's home and are excited about the changes and where the Lord is leading them. We are too as He has led them to
Lost Canyon.

Let the 2008 Summer countdown begin:
108 days until Interns arrive!
116 days until AT, WC, and SS arrive!
118 days until the first campers arrive...
...And we could not be more excited. With the anticipation and excitement comes the reality of how much there is to do
between now and then. As with every summer it comes before we know it. We would love to ask for your support in prayer for
a few things:
-Summer Interns: As always getting the right
interns is a crucial part of our summer hiring, especially positions that require specific skill such as the EMT.
-Work Crew and Summer Staff: We are praying now for all the spots to be filled, for the right people to
apply and for the Lord to be preparing their hearts to serve our guests this summer.
-Year Long Intern Program: As we round into our second year of this program we are already looking for
applicants for 2008-2009. Our hope and desire is to have 4-6 folks hired before the summer even starts. Pray for the right people to apply and for
the doors to open for them timing wise and financially.
If you or someone you know is interested in applying for any of these positions please
contact the Lost Canyon office as soon as possible.
We appreciate you prayers and support.

From our staff to you...
We hope and pray that 2008 is a year full of adventure and excitement for you. One in which you will seek Him and see
Him more fully than you ever have before. Please know that you, the people that volunteer, serve, work and play here are vital to this
community. You are what makes Lost Canyon feel the way it does. It is Him in all of us as we walk about this camp that makes it so special. We have
beautiful buildings and a beautiful landscape but it is truly the hands and feet of the people that serve on the weekends and in the summer that make
it what it is and to you we are grateful. Join us as we continue to pray for protection and safety over our camp, for abundance in both kids coming to
camp and for water, and more than anything for Him to be glorified in all that we say and do.
Let us know how you are, send us an email, update us on your life and let us know how we can be praying for
you!
