SATURDAY, JANUARY 27
10:00 AM - 12:30 PM
BAYVIEW HUNTERS POINT
TOXIC TOUR
Come and take a walking tour of our neighborhood. We'll stop by some
of the toxic sites in Bayview Hunters Point like the Hunters Point
Shipyard and the PG&E power plant, and talk about the relationship
to our community's health. We'll also have a chance to see the ways
LEJ
youth are making things better, with a visit to Good Neighbor merchant
Surfside Grocery, and a tour of the future site of the Living
Classroom
at Heron's Head Park. Along the way, we'll talk about environmental
justice, development and gentrification, food security, and
grassroots environmental health activism.
All are welcome, and there is no charge. RSVP to Living Classroom Program Coordinator Rachel Pomerantz.

residents how to prepare delicious and nutritious meals from the fresh
and affordable
produce the Good Neighbor merchants have for sale.
All are welcome, and there is no charge. Surfside Grocery is at 900 Innes Ave., two
blocks from the LEJ
