Portland Century
We know that you like to volunteer.  Like to bike?  We thought you might.  The Portland Century on Sunday, August 26, is a great way to bring those passions together – and support Hands On Greater Portland to boot.  The Portland Century is the only Portland-based century ride, and this year we expect a full field of riders taking part in the 25, 50 and 100-mile routes.  Proceeds from the Portland Century go to Hands On to help us provide rewarding, flexible volunteer opportunities that meet real needs in the community.  This is a great volunteer project.  In fact, Porter and Tom from Portland Century have really thought this through and have organized a variety of great ways to help out, be part of the fun, and help Hands On.  Whether it’s helping to feed a bunch of hungry bikers, playing roving mechanic or joining the crew of medical riders, there’s an opportunity that will fit your schedule and interests.  Complete info and sign ups at www.portlandcentury.com.
