For kids that receive free or subsidized school
lunches,
summer vacation disrupts the meals that they count on receiving each
school day.
The Project Summer: Everyone Eats program in Washington
County addresses the need by providing
free meals for those 18 and younger. Learn more

Make
Your Summer Count!
This
summer we want to make it easy, fun and rewarding for youth to get involved. So
we created the Summer of Service
youth program, which is open to all volunteers age 13 through 21 and is a great
way to get involved, meet other young volunteers, learn about issues in your
community, develop leadership skills and even win great prizes!
Visit the Summer of
Service web page to learn
more about downloading a Volunteer Service Certificate, tracking
the projects your participate on and more!
**Mark

Join
us Saturday, June 21st for a Summer of Service celebration kick-off
project at Zenger Farm!

| Continuing our Focus On Sustainability:
This June, we will
continue to highlight opportunities to help organizations in Multnomah and
Washington
Counties work towards a
sustainable future. Help rebuild bikes. Work to preserve local wetlands. Garden
against hunger. Replace pesticides with human-powered weeding in our local
parks. Or volunteer at the upcoming Towards CarFree Cities Conference!
Whether
you're interested in local foods, habitat restoration, alternative
transportation, recycling, or energy efficiency, we have plenty of opportunities
for you to get involved and help keep our communities green and healthy! Learn
more and get involved...
