Veil, an interactive sculptural performance

Veil: steel, Polartec, and visitors

The inspiration for Betsyann Duval's interactive sculpture Veil arrived at a spa treatment. She was thinking "how strange that people spend so much time on their outside and ignore the inside."  When her seaweed mask came off, she saw a replica of her face from the inside and the vision for her next project.  Built from metal rods and 4-way-stretch Polartec, the 7-foot conical sculptures invite people inside to express themelves.
