Ryan Teacher is Channel 2's
First Teacher Of The Week
Matt
Puryear, Journalism and American Literature teacher at Father Ryan, will be featured this week
on Channel 2 TV as the station's first "Teacher of the Week" for this
school year. The broadcast will be shown:
• Thursday, September 6th, between 6:00 and 6:30 p.m. on the evening
newscast
• Friday, September 7th, between 6:00 and 7:00 a.m. on the morning
newscast, and between
10:00 and 10:35 p.m. on the late evening newscast.
Mr.
Puryear is also the newspaper
sponsor, summer school director, boy's lacrosse coach, "Voice of the Irish" for football and
basketball and Student Council co-moderator. He was nominated for this award by junior
Caroline Davidson.
