Wachtler raises funds in honor of Jamie Grace Dubois, Ben Bjork and his late mother, Joyce Morton
Music business veteran Randy Wachtler of 615 Music hosted a gala yesterday to raise funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society as part of his campaign
for Nashville's Man & Woman of the Year 2008.
Nashville singer-songwriters Phil Vassar, Lee Roy Parnell, Larry Stewart of Restless Heart, and Dave Berg performed at the intimate event at
Wachtler's home. Guests included many of Wachtler's music industry friends, Titans coach Jeff Fisher and NFL star Neil O'Donnell.
Wachtler is raising funds
for LLS in honor of his late mother, Joyce Morton, who died from
Leukemia at the age of 44 while Randy was a student at MTSU.
Wachtler is also raising money in honor of two teenagers: 13-year-old
Jamie Grace Dubois, daughter of music executive Tim Dubois, and
18-year-old
musician Ben Bjork. Jamie has been diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic
Leukemia (ALL) and Ben is a 10-year survivor of B-cell Lymphoblastic
Lymphoma.
At LLS, at least 75 cents from each dollar raised goes directly to
patient aid, research and education. Donations are tax-deductible.
Secure online contributions are accepted at http://www.active.com/donate/ntnmwoy05/ntnRWachtl or checks written to LLS can be mailed to Wachtler's
