A letter from our Nicaraguan friend and student, Gabriel Muñoz Martinez              (pictured far right with Scott, Jordan, and Exequiel):

Hi!
I'm Gabriel, a student of English classes in Manna Project and a really nice guy that always is smiling; also I am a student of English at the university.. Recently I got a job in El coche café where I work like a barista (a person who make a lot of kind of drinks of coffee) in this job I can practice my English because I must make a good friendship with the costumers, so my English every day is getting better, but the most important of this is that everything I've got is thanks to Manna Project and the directors of this program. Also, I want to say thanks to my friends Norman and Geoff, ones of my best friends.

Today I wanted write for manna mail because I want to express and show to you all the important of this program for us in Nicaragua. I met Manna Project three years ago when I was studying my high school in the community of Cedro Galan and some gringos began to teach art and English classes to the student of this school, since that moment I get interested to learn more English, so I decided to go to English classes in El Farito where I began to make some friends like Maria and Gregorio, some of the best teachers in Manna Project, also I'll never forget special friends like Victoria!

Manna Project has came to do a good job in the communities of Cedro Galan, Chiquilistagua and La Chureca helping in programs to the women and children, also, they teach classes of art, literature, music and English where I am studying. I have been studying English during two years and I can make you sure I've learn a lot.

Those years I've met a lot of friends like Scott, a guy very nice and preppy, he has taught me how to play the guitar and blue music, thanks Scott!, another friend is Christopher Taylor, one of our  teacher and a funny guy, he always was sharing with us and our families. Adam, Mmmm, he was the nerd of Manna project, but friendly and thanks to him, we have a book to study the English grammar, now he is studying at the university and if you think that he is mean, please, try to know him, he is very nice, other friends are Neil and Daniel, they are very important for me because they couldn't hurt to any person never and that is very important for us, the Nicas. And of course, the girls! Tracy, Abbie, Andrea, Hilary, Claire, Brandy and Cristal, they are some of my friends that I'll never forget because they have been very nice with me and also they have worked very hard in dirty places helping to the others people and that's very important for us because we can see the important we are for them, so, thanks girls for your friendship, I love you!

Manna project every year has a new group of volunteers, and this year we have a group of guy very nice and also I want to talk a little of them because they have been working very hard this year and I consider them my friends. I want to begin with Julie, she is the sweetest girl in this group because she has always a beautiful smile in her face and the most important, she is always talking to the people in the community like a good friend, other of my friend is Geoff, this guy is very fun and very nice, he is one of the teacher and very good friend, the same with Mateo, this guy is one of my favorite because we have a very important thing in common, we go to the same church; Tessa, she is very friendly and she a beautiful voice, she is my favorite singer in this program, and of course my friend Erin, she is very special for me because she is nice, pretty and very sincere. Other friends are Marcela, Den, Neil and Joshua, also they are very nice and very good persons for this world, but I'm not going to write just names because if I write them I'm not going to finish this letter never but also if your name is not here you can be sure that you are always in my mind like a special person who have help me to change my life to be a better person so in the future I'll do the same with the people of my community.

I want to say thanks to all the people who work very hard for this program: the persons who give donations for this work and especially to Lori, Christopher, Lucas and the other person that begun with this program. Thanks to you all I've changed my life and hope you continue working hard for our people and the communities.

Thanks Manna Project!   Thanks guy!   You mean a lot to me!
