April Taylor Honors Those Who Have Given
So Much At Special Dedication
NASHVILLE, TN - On
Monday January 29, just one day before her first full length CD I Wanna Live Like That, arrived in
stores, April Taylor and an exclusive group of entertainers, dignitaries and
special guests converged on San
Antonio, TX to honor
our brave soldiers that have given so much.
Taylor joined Senators Hillary Clinton
and John McCain, actor Denzel Washington, comedian Rosie O'Donnell, singer John
Mellencamp, Big & Rich, and actress Michelle Pfeiffer at the gala
dedication of the brand new Center for the Intrepid rehabilitation center at Brooke Army
Medical Center
and two new Fisher Houses on the Fort Sam Houston military base.
"Make no mistake about it, the stars at this event are the troops
who've served and sacrificed", said Taylor
after touring the ornate, oval-shaped center and the two new 21-room Fisher
Houses. "And as magnificent as these
facilities are I have to agree with Arnold Fisher (Vice Chairman of Fisher House)
that our wish must be for this someday to become a garage."
A staunch advocate of our military men, women and their
families, April continues to make appearances supporting them a priority for
her 2007 tour schedule. Plans are in the
works for several concerts at military facilities spread through the year as
well as a performance in June at the Pentagon's "Night Of Heroes" in Washington DC.
