Katherine's Culinary Experiences - Cooking Classes

Fresh, energetic and sophisticated hands-on cooking classes, designed to sharpen your skills, tantalize your taste buds and impress your family and friends!  Our goal is to make these FUN and VALUABLE - a great thing to do with friends or a nice way to meet some new people.  

These classes are a perfect gift for the holidays!  One class or a series of classes - gift certificates are available.  Contact us at information@katherines.com or 734-930-4270 for more information.

Elegant Cocktail Party

Spiced Mixed Nuts
Brie en Croûte - a wheel of Brie baked in puff pastry, delicately flavored with gingered pear compote and served with French baguette slices & crackers   

Vegetable Nori Rolls - beautiful and delicious vegetarian Sushi rolls served with wasabi, pickled ginger and soy sauce       

Vegetarian Antipasto Platter - Artichoke hearts, kalamata olives, marinated mushrooms, Provolone cheese, pepperoncini, green olives, cucumber,cherry tomatoes and cheese tortellini with a balsamic drizzle   

Shrimp Trio - Fresh shrimp, sesame ginger shrimp and lemon garlic herb shrimp served with cocktail sauce

Katherine's Sun-dried Tomato and

Kalamata Olive Spread

1 lb. cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes *

1/2 cup kalamata olives, pitted

1/4 cup pimento stuffed green olives

1 tbsp. fresh parsley

1 tsp. fresh garlic

1/4 tsp. lemon juice

1/4 tsp. Tabasco sauce

1/4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

Salt and pepper to taste 

Place ingredients in food processor and blend well.  

Offer with your favorite crackers and sliced breads... also great with veggies or as a sandwich spread.  

* Use canned or dried tomatoes.  For dried tomatoes -  steep in 1 tbsp. sherry and hot water.  Cover and allow to sit one hour until softened - then drain.
