Young Life To Start Ministry
In New Communities!
The Executive Committee of Young Life Green Bay approved the
start-up of ministry in two new communities next fall ('06)pending sufficient resources in and for those communities.
Our first community is on the East side of Green Bay with students
that attend Washington middle school and our second community surrounds Preble high school. We are in the process of gathering and
identifying resources in those communities.
Resources include adults in the community to work with kids, adults to
help organize the start-up effort in each community, teachers and administrators in those schools, financial resources in and for those communities,
and parents of kids.
Please contact our office for more information or to share
resources for these communities by calling (920) 434-5854 or by email. |

Green Bay Packers Defensive End,
Aaron Kampman Speaks at Young Life Club!
Aaron Kampman spoke at the Bay Port Young Life Club on Monday,
April 10th. He talked about his faith and how Christ has impacted his life.
During his middle school years he felt insecure and
turned to God in prayer as he walked abandoned railroad tracks near the small town he grew up in. He shared that while in high
school he did not focus on Christ as much as he would have wished because he was able to put his faith in his success or as he called it his
"externals" instead of putting his faith in God. It took until his sophomore year of college to really get him to again tune into his faith as
the only thing he could put 100% trust in because his success was in jeopardy as his football team went 1-10 that year. Of course, he
still has a passion to succeed on the football field, but he no longer rides the roller-coaster of success on the field in his life, now that
he has strength in knowing that God loves him regardless of his performance on the field.
Aaron did a great job and we are thankful that he was willing to
share his life experience with us. A huge thank you goes out to him for making himself available to the kids of our
community! Click Here for pictures from that night and other Young Life Clubs this year. |

The Norsemen!
These two characters have made recent appearances at Young Life Club. They say that they are
vying for the 2010 Winter Olympics, but we wouldn't put any money on them... Click on the picture above and it will take you to a recent video
of them that was shown at Club.
Young Life Service Day
Young Life Service Day is an opportunity for kids involved with Young
Life to kill two birds with one stone. First, they contribute to the community by doing clean-up-in neighborhoods, projects in local parks, and
general community service. Second, they earn scholarship money to help send them to summer camp with Young Life.
On May 20th, students will head out into the community for a full 8-hour
work day. Prior to the day, they will have shared the idea with friends, neighbors, and family and asked them to sponsor them per hour to
work. 100% of the proceeds of their sponsorships will go toward defraying their camp cost this summer.
If you are interested in sponsoring a kid to go to camp and like the
idea of them earning the money through community service, please contact our office and we will connect you with
a kid in need.
