About the LTAP Program

The PennDOT Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP) has been serving Pennsylvania’s municipalities with transportation road maintenance and safety training since 1983.  Services available through LTAP include workshop training, on-site technical assistance, updates on the latest technologies and innovations, field demonstrations, library and information materials, and newsletters.  These services are available to all municipalities in the state and are provided at little or no cost to the user. All LTAP training workshops are free to all employees of municipalities, counties, government authorities and agencies. Others (consultants, engineers, developers, homeowners associations) interested can register based on classroom availability.

The Northeastern Pennsylvania Alliance (NEPA) Municipal Technology Assistance Program (MTAP) Assists Plymouth Township

The Northeastern Pennsylvania Alliance (NEPA), through the Municipal Technology Assistance Program (MTAP) recently helped Plymouth Township, Luzerne County obtain a new desktop computer and laser printer.

Jeffrey Box, President & CEO, NEPA Alliance stated, “NEPA is contracted by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to help bridge the technology gap faced by many local governments in our region. NEPA utilizes funding provided by the state to support this program and is pleased to offer new computers and equipment at discounted prices to eligible government entities.”

In addition to helping the township obtain the computer equipment, NEPA also offered its Information Technology staff to help set up the computer and is working with the township to complete the networking of all of its computers.

Plymouth Township is a state designated distressed community and NEPA serves as its Recovery Plan Coordinator.
