Product Specials: Organic Açaí Smoothies
Last week the Today Show included us in a segment on "8 Foods You Should Eat Every Day". We agree - the apple a day theory has
evolved! Our ready to drink organic açaí smoothies are packed with whole food nutrition and are probably one of the
healthiest
beverages you could buy. We pack our beverages with açaí and then blend them with other powerful ingredients such as antioxidant rich
fruit, Manitoba Harvest hemp protein and Amazing Grass
Supergreens. You can buy them by the caseload -
just keep them in your freezer and thaw on demand. They're a really convenient (and delicious) way to get the healthy benefits of
açaí in your diet daily. Kids love them for after school snacks and they're great before or after working out or just for an
afternoon energy boost. Buy a case for yourself and share one with a friend! For this month's Zona Sul
subscriber special - good now thru October 31, 2007 - go to our shopping cart and use coupon below upon checking out.

Sambazon Tribal Tour Update
Sambazon's Tribal Tour has continued to rock its way from one music fest to another through-out the US - serving up healthy and delicious acai
to festival revelers at FarmAid at Randall's Island in NYC , mega-fest Austin City Limits in Austin, TX and Earthdance in Laytonville, CA. In addition to lineup of legends
that included
Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp, Neil Young and Dave
Matthews, Farm Aid was a great opportunity for Sambazon to be a part of the Good Food Movement by helping raise awareness about the loss of family
farms and
raise funds to keep farm families on their land. Sambazon brought an added twist to the offering with new awareness of family farmers in the
Amazon. And ACL and Earthdance was outstanding as ever with festival-goers and musicians who couldn't get enough of Sambazon. Next
up we're at Greenfest in Washington D.C. October
6-8 and The Echo Project - a first ever event in Atlanta, GA
with a great line up
including The
Killers and many others. October 12-14. NorCal Sambazon fans - we'll also be at Hardly
Strictly Bluegrass festival -a free fest in Golden Gate Park that draws a great crowd.
Check out dates and info here and for photos on the road here.

Employee of the Month: Mike Ball
Mike Ball, Sambazon West Coast Events Manager, is currently on the road in Sambazon's
bio-diesel Tribal Tour van...bringing the goodness of Sambazon açaí to events up and down the West Coast. While we miss
him here at
HQ, Mike's warm nature, creative mind and conscious spirit is surely representing us well as he manages and executes our West Coast special events
all
summer long. Mike joined us a year ago, working as shipping coordinator for marketing services. Prior to joining us, he
worked as a music teacher and a bartender. Mike's passions include music, golf and snowboarding - and we can vouch for the incredible
talent he brings to Sambazon's house band and warehouse jam sessions! Mike tells us that what he loves most about Sambazon is "The people I
work for and with, the business practices and morals of the company, and of course the açaí!!!!!"
Thanks Mike - we're so glad you're part of our Team and helping introduce Sambazon acai to thousands of people all summer long!

Our friend Fernanda Filipini - created this delicious (and nutritious) 'Acai Pizza'. Mixing a little honey with açaí is a trick that
Fernanda picked up in Brasil.
1 pint Sambazon original açaí sorbet
1 package (4 packs) Sambazon Pure Açaí Smoothie Packs
2 sliced Bananans
Mozzarella cheese (optional)
Cinnamon
2 wheat tortillas
Honey
Walnut pieces (optional)
Melt and reduce 4 packs pure Açaí in a pan and stir for 30 minutes, low heat. Cut tortillas into quarters and cover with reduced pure
açaí "cream". Add the cheese, bananas, cinnamon and place in 350 degree oven for 15 minutes or until bananas are golden. Scoop 1 scoop
of the sorbet on top of the hot dessert. Drizzle honey on top and sprinkle with walnut pieces.
