2007 Tennessee
Disabilities Forum
The 2007 Tennessee Disabilities Forum will be held on April
30, 2007 from 7:00 am to 12 Noon at the Millennium Maxwell House Hotel in Nashville. The Forum is an opportunity for Tennesseans
to come together in collaboration, cooperation and innovation to serve the
needs of those with disabilities. Separately, they serve narrow
constituencies.
The forum is an opportunity to share ideas and gain an
understanding of the services provided by all groups. Through this
discussion the goal is to maximize our efforts and reduce duplication.
This forum includes an informative presentation and panel
discussion of issues concerning the delivery of services to Tennesseans with
disabilities. The goal is to raise the awareness of the challenges
organizations in Tennessee
face serving those Tennesseans with disabilities. The Forum hopes to bring to the
forefront the problems and unmet needs of Tennessee citizens with disabilities.
The emphasis will be to encourage and create collaboration among
community-based organizations and government agencies. There will be
face-to-face discussion of issues and identification of potential
solutions.
Over 200 participants are expected to participate in this dynamic forum. Please make a
reservation by April 15, 2007 to ensure a place at
the table to hear about and contribute to the exchange of ideas by contacting Conference
Reservations at www.goodwillmidten.org
or Sheila Thompson at 615
