Dear :
With
the Primary Election last Thursday, election season is really heating up,
and I'm
reminded again of the groundswell of support that I received from you
two years ago. I will always consider that campaign a highlight of my
life
because of the friendships that were forged and the effort that people
like you made across this state to stand for right and to work for a
brighter
future for this great state. Thank you for your friendship and your
support.
The
past two years have been exciting ones for
me. The time spent with my family has been valuable and memorable for
us all. In the past two years we have settled Maria in college in
Jackson at Union University where she is entering her junior year.
Nadia is beginning her senior year of high school so we are embarking
on a
tour of colleges to find the one that best fits her. Nick is a rising
high school sophomore. I've been able to see more of his soccer
games than ever and we have even enjoyed a few rounds of golf
together. Finally, Alex is entering sixth grade and middle school. He
is my
movie-buddy since we both enjoy a cool theater, a good flick and a bag
of popcorn.
Carol
and I have taken advantage of the additional
time to have more dinners out, to relax together and to get some work
done on the house. We recently spent a long weekend in Greeneville
celebrating her mother's 80th birthday. We constantly marvel at how
fast the kids grow and how fortunate we are to have a good family and
live
in such a marvelous place as Tennessee.
I have returned
full-time to the company that I founded 22 years ago, 20/20 Research.
Re-connecting with many of my business colleagues throughout the
country has been very refreshing. I am doing the things I love in
running the
business: strategic planning, product development and sales.
Life has been very good to me and I'm thankful. Thank you for your friendship and your support. Words cannot adequately express how much
that has meant to me.
