Forty plus
folks from St. Augustine's enjoyed a night out at the Sounds game
recently. Although our home team lost, the fireworks, ice cream and
fellowship
were great! We will try to do it again this summer.

Thank you so much for helping us welcome Una Ngwenya to Nashville! She had a great visit and enjoyed meeting everyone
from our community. She is continually grateful for everyone's involvement and support. Our next big event for Holy Cross Hospice is August
27th at the Belcourt. The Greatest Show Ever, our annual fundraiser, will raise the rest of our support for
the hospice for the year. Anna Brown is currently coordinating an attendance committee. If you are interested in helping with that or
any other
part
of the fundraiser, please email her at anna.m.brown@vanderbilt.edu.

◊ Interwoven: The St. Augustine's Tapestry Project
You
are invited to contribute to the St. Augustine's
Tapestry project by bringing in cloth or material of any sort that can
become part of a community banner to be included in our
services.Whether a cut
of cloth, an item of clothing, scarf, apron, former doll dress, the
jeans you can't wear or give up, the child's dress that met with an
unruly
juice box and can no longer be worn... anything that has some meaning
to you. Anything we get will be cut apart and woven into the
tapestry,so don't
send anything you want back, or want kept whole. Encourage your
children to find something that they would like to include. Whatever
you bring should
be clean. No items with text please.
◊ Caring Casseroles: Our chapel parishioners are in need of support
sometimes. If you are interested in preparing meals occasionally, please call Inge Conway (615 322-4783) or email her at staugustineschapel@comcast.net
◊ Stephen
Ministry: Are
you experiencing a challenging time in your personal life? Have you
reached an impasse on your spiritual
path? Or simply feeling down? Consider letting a Stephen Minister
help. A Stephen Minister is a member of our congregation who is
trained to listen, care, encourage, pray and walk alongside you during
difficult times. It's confidential, free, and very helpful. To
learn more, contact Jane McLaughlin(jane.mclaughlin@vanderbilt.edu; 615-686-4394)
