Monadnock was one of the first paper mills to embrace the Forest Stewardship
Council, ensuring responsibly sourced and sustainable forest products are used.
 
 
Monadnock generates nearly half of it's electricity requirements with it's own low impact hydro electric facilities on the Contoocook River. The balance of it's electricity needs are met with purchased renewable electricity.
 
 
Monadnock recycles it's short fiber solid waste into animal bedding and compost enrichment in it's own solid waste processing facility built by the company in 1974.
