SEMINAR AGENDA:

  • New Patient Orientation
    • We will be providing our patients with a brief orientation and prepping them for their examinations. This session will also help patients explore the latest labor and employment law wonder drugs and the newest deadly HR diseases.

  • Pre-Examination Screening
    • It’s a lot more than just taking the employee’s history, sticking a thermometer in their mouth and checking their blood pressure. If the screening isn’t properly handled, the patient may present symptoms later that you aren’t prepared to treat. Specific topics to be discussed are employment applications (electronic and paper-based), interviewing, screening/selection process, pre-employment testing, background checks, references, I-9 issues and others.

  • Creating and Maintaining a Healthy Environment
    • To protect and inoculate your company from the “litigation plague” you must have a sterile exam room. Learn how to initiate and maintain effective policies, procedures and training related to wages/hours/overtime, benefits, FMLA and other leaves of absence, and standards of conduct.

  • Is There a Potential Pandemic Lurking?
    • If enacted by Congress, The Employee “Free Choice” Act would enable unions to infect employees and healthy companies before they even have a chance at vaccination.  Learn why the “free choice” misnomer comes with deadly side effects and could turn historically non-union companies into government and union-run shops virtually overnight.

  • An Ounce of Prevention is Worth a Pound of Cure
    • Early diagnosis and preventative medicine can stop a cough from turning into pneumonia.  Learn how to keep your company healthy by creating and consistently applying sound HR policies, procedures, documentation and progressive discipline.

  • What to do When the Prognosis is Not Good
    • The patient’s symptoms appear to be incurable. All your training and experience doesn’t appear to be improving the outcome for the patient. Do you place the patient on extended life support or is it time to pull the plug?  Will outside influences intervene?  We’ll help you prepare for discharges, resignations, retirements, severance, releases, EEOC and DOL charges.

  • Follow-Up Visits
    • Sometimes after the patient is discharged, a regimen of follow-up care is prescribed. Protecting your company from liability is a delicate issue. We’ll help you with non-compete agreements, protection of your trade secrets and non-disclosure agreements.

  • Post Mortem
    • The team will be available for open Q&A.
