I realized at that point that I could show them something they don't know about this atmospheric
light. Because of all the years I have spent on location painting from
nature, I was able to interpret this light with color.
As Hawthorne said, "The vision of the artist is the vision to see and the ability to tell the world something that it unconsciously thinks about
nature."
