In light of Tulsa's recent ice storm and city-wide power outages,
Oklahomans for Equality will expand our operating hours and
feature extra services in order to support our
community during this crisis:
December 14: Queer As Folk Friday
On Friday, OkEq will feature an all-day Queer As Folk
marathon and offer free pizza
in the evening. Tulsa Lambda League will host
a Texas Hold'Em Tournament for
$15 in the Event Center,
welcoming beginners and experts alike!
December 15: L-Word Saturday
On Saturday, we will feature an all-day marathon of the L-Word, and offer free pizza and Game Night @ the Center in the evening.
December 16: Technicolor Sunday
We will be expanding our hours to open 3-9pm on Sunday, showing Priscilla, Queen of the Desert and The Wizard of Oz, and serving
free chili
in the
afternoon.
Special thanks to Dennis Neill and John Southard for underwriting the food for these activities.
December 17: PFLAG / OkEq
Holiday Potluck
Join PFLAG and OkEq in celebrating the holidays at a pot luck
dinner at
the Equality Center. There is no charge for admission, but please bring
a dish to share if possible. PFLAG will furnish turkey,
dressing, ham and punch, and the very talented Council Oak Men's
Chorale will entertain.
Be sure to also check
out the PFLAG volunteer opportunity on our home page!
