Quick Tip of the Month
BrainPOP Español and
English Language Learners
Anne Kimmey, a resource teacher at Crystal Lakes Elementary School in Boynton Beach,
FL, works with Spanish-speaking English Language Learners. She weaves the English version of BrainPOP into her
lessons, then
has her students find the same content on BrainPOP Español. They love
hearing
the material in their native language.
Got a Quick Tip? We'd love to hear and share your ideas. Email us!

Spotlight on NECC
Meet the outstanding educators who'll join us at NECC to talk about the
ways they use BrainPOP.
Patrice Dawkins-Jackson teaches
kindergarten at Dunwoody Springs Charter School in Atlanta, GA. Patrice likes to use BrainPOP Jr. as an interactive resource, and to introduce
new concepts.
Also from Dunwoody Springs Charter School is
kindergarten teacher Lorraine Prince, who loves the way BrainPOP Jr. and Promethean's Activboard dovetail. Lorraine says
BrainPOP Jr. is one of the most frequently used web-based resources in her classroom.
From Port Orange Elementary School in Port
Orange, FL comes science teacher Robert Miller. Robert tells us that incorporating Tim and Moby jazzes up his
lessons and
motivates his students.
Scott Walker
teaches Arts & Humanities to sophomores in
Kentucky. He's also a popular blogger; visit TeacherTech for his tips on
how
to use BrainPOP and other technology in the classroom.
Know an educator who's doing great things with BrainPOP and making a
difference for kids? We'd love to hear and share your
success
stories!
