26th Annual Fashion Show and Luncheon a Success: A Note from Brian
Murphy
On behalf of Y-ME Illinois,
thank you for your support at this year's Fashion Show. The event was a wonderful success! Ruth would
have been pleased with the number of people that attended and the financial
support provided. This event was a celebration
of Breast Cancer Survivors and those that help care for them. It was an honor
to be a part of this celebration.
The volunteers, sponsors
and staff, have my heartfelt appreciation for the work they did to make this a
memorable event. THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
THANK YOU! Without you Y-ME
Illinois does not exist.
We will all miss Ruth and
everything she did for Y-ME, but she would want us to continue in our mission to ensure that no one faces breast cancer alone and will we. I
look forward to working with you in the
future.
Thank you for your
support.
Brian Murphy,
Board President
Pink Streak Runners Stride Past Their Goal
Congratulations
to the members of our Pink Streak marathon team for running in The LaSalle Bank Chicago Marathon on
October 22nd. Not only did our team meet the challenge of training for 26.2 miles, they also met the
Y-Me Illinois and Flair Communications goal of raising $130,000. Because of their hard work, Flair Communications is donating $7,500
more to our efforts.
Currently, our pink
streak total is at an impressive $141,811
raised. Great job! We sincerely appreciate our runner's efforts
toward helping Y-ME Illinois ensure that no one faces breast
cancer alone.
