National Domestic Violence Volunteer Attorney
Network
At the beginning of the month, Jewish Women International (JWI) launched the Legal Project to
empower abuse victims to both look after their own safety and interests, and to find affordable attorneys equipped to do the same. With your support, we can build this initiative to serve women in need with legal knowledge and representation that could save their
lives.
Sign on and be counted among those supporting the creation of the National Domestic Violence
Volunteer Attorney Network – legislation introduced by Senators Joe Biden and Arlen Specter, now before the Senate Committee on the
Judiciary.
We are pleased to tell you that nationwide support for this measure is widespread and strong! At this
point more than 1,500 people from across the country have signed the petition.
Take action today – help reach the goal of 5,000
names. Add your name to the list (if you haven’t already), and send this e-mail to your network of friends to
garner even more support for JWI’s Legal Project and the pending legislation. View
their names - and many of their stories - on the JWI website.
Sign the petition. Support legislation to create a
volunteer attorney network.
