Indie artist creates boutique party favors and gift products for a personalized gift giving experience, while ensuring consumers have a choice when it comes to quality goods. 

Tampa, FL (June 2008)-Independent "indie" designer Irma Niekum, founder and owner of Gifts Define, announces a line of artisan-crafted specialty gifts and party favors which offer consumers boutique quality options for thoughtful, carefully considered gift giving.

As the economy slows, consumers have become increasingly choosey about the quality and longevity of purchased items. Because gift giving and celebrations continue to be necessary and enjoyable life events, Niekum designed her line of handcrafted party favors and gift items, such as plush collectibles and dolls, to be personalized pieces that offer meaning and lasting value.

Unimpressed by the amount of indistinctive and poorly made gift items and party favors found at conventional stores, Niekum, a doll maker of 15 years, utilized her skill of creating vibrant, whimsical characters to craft enduring party favors and mini-dolls for Gifts Define. Niekum offered, "I wanted to introduce fresh gift ideas and include buyers in the creative process by allowing them to personalize their items." Using natural based and leads-free woolen felt material with OKO-Tex 100 Standard Certified, Niekum crafts each product with funky character, vibrant colors and a carefree presentation which displays the brand Niekum wants Gifts Define to be known for.

Offering philanthropy as well as boutique products, Niekum founded the Suara Karya (Voice of Art) Organization which allocates proceeds from Gift Define sales to Indonesian women for better education and healthcare.
