Capt. Robin Walbridge has everything under control!

Yeahhh! Down time for the crew in the 'tween deck at Disco Grog Night. The party is on!
Getting closer, the crew prepares for their Victoria, BC. arrival.

A happy crew is a Bounty crew!  No, they're not on their way to Disneyworld, but they are on their way to the West Coast for a great tour!

WEST COAST.....WE HAVE ARRIVED!

Bounty's voyage from Nicaragua to Mexico was uneventful. After that, we struggled against the wind and weather trying to make our scheduled appearance date in Victoria, BC.

You can see from the video (link below,) that it was not a fun voyage for the crew as we fought against the head winds.   We often had to drop anchor, just to stop the ship from losing ground. With this tumultuous fight on our hands, we burnt more fuel than had been expected, which meant more fuel stops along the way, often causing us precious time. I must say, I was beginning to get nervous that we might not make Victoria on time, but once again, my Captain and crew made it happen!

Victoria was beautiful and we were treated like royalty while there. It was said that Bounty was worth the anticipation.

CELEBRATING THE  4TH   WITH A BANG!

Independence Day started in Tacoma, WA., with putting more than 2000 people across the deck during tours for that day. After morning maintenance, a couple of our crew spent the day sailing, while others spent the day with friends and walking around the festival. The evening was spent in the Dock Street Pub, or on the brigantine Kaisei for a sunset sail, and the deck of the Bounty talking with volunteers and friends from the area. The fireworks could be seen along the length of the harbor and they were beautiful, but were too far away to enjoy the concussive blasts. Thanks to our crewman Adam for what sounds to be a busy, yet a fun and great day!

This newsletter is being dedicated to pictures of the crew during the journey.....so enjoy the view of life aboard Bounty.

Tanya's leap of faith! And yes, she made it to the dock just fine in Coos Bay to get Bounty moored.

What a perfect day for sailing! This amazing photo was taken by tallship photographer Thad Koza   (www.tallshipsinternational.net)
